Botswana is a land-locked country dominated in geographical terms by the Kalahari Desert - a sand-filled basin averaging 1,100 metres above sea level. The country lies between longitudes 20 and 30 degrees east of Greenwich and between the latitudes 18 and 27 degrees approximately south of the Equator.

Botswana is bordered by Zambia and Zimbabwe to the northeast, Namibia to the north and west, and South Africa to the south and southeast. At Kazungula, four countries - Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia - meet at a single point mid-stream in the Zambezi River.

Chalets

The lodge has a restaurant, bar and swimming pool. The chalets are luxury en-suite with air-conditioning and very stylish decor. After a tiresome journey the very comfortable beds will ensure that you get a good nights rest.

There is 220V electricity and all chalets are equipped with a mini fridge and a small kitchenette.

Camping

Each campsite has its own bathroom and dishwashing facilities and has a 220V power outlet.

We offer early morning and late afternoon game drives. Kalahari Rest is home to a variety of game species including giraffe, waterbuck, zebra, eland, hartebeest, wildebeest, kudu, impala, etc. You might also be fortunate enough to spot a cheetah, leopard or brown hyena.

Kalahari Rest Lodge is situated 25km north of Kang on the Trans Kalahari Highway. Look out for our very original signpost along the highway. The road is accessible to all vehicle types.
