Camp Moremi is located on the picturesque Xakanaxa Lagoon. This Botswana lodge is situated in the eastern edge of the Okavango Delta in the Moremi Game Reserve.

The elevated Moremi Tree Lodge forms the central point of the camp and features a wildlife reference library, an elegant main lounge, dining area and cocktail lounge.

The Moremi Game Reserve features a diverse habitat home to a wide range of African wildlife. Guests can look forward to guided game drives where they might spot Wild Dog, Cheetah, Lion, Zebra, Elephant and Buffalo. Guests can also explore Xakanaxa Lagoon and the Okavango Delta's channels by powerboat.

Camp Moremi offers guests luxury Botswana safari accommodation in elegant East African styled tents.
The tents are furnished with luggage racks, Rhodesian Teak Wardrobes, dressing table, bedside pedestals and directors chairs. Situated on raised teak platforms with comfortable and elegant interiors.

The Safari tents exclusively accommodate 22 guests who can enjoy scenic views from private game viewing decks.

The interiors are enhanced with designer linen and colourful woven rugs. A private bathroom is situated adjacent to the tent. Each tent is located on raised platforms and features its own private viewing deck. Additional features include tea and coffee making facilities and his and hers bathrobes.


Guests are accommodated in 11 East African inspired safari tents.

Electricity:

Generator power is available during the day and evening (AC 220V). Any video batteries can be recharged. The elegant safari tents are fitted with a 240-volt AC plug for hairdryers (supplied by the lodge) and 12-volt DC lighting to be used at night once the generator has been switched off.

Credit cards:

Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa credit cards are accepted at Camp Moremi. Unfortunately American Express credit cards are not accepted.

How to get to Camp Moremi:

Camp Moremi is situated on the scenic Xakanaxa Lagoon in the eastern edge of the Okavango Delta in the Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana. Guests can choose to either self drive or fly in to Camp Moremi.
Charter flights are available from Kasane and Maun. Guests staying in Livingstone or Victoria Falls can be transferred to Kasane by road before departing on a charter flight.

Guests wishing to self drive should note that they will need a 4x4 vehicle equipped to handle rather rugged conditions. Directions are not easy to navigate to Camp Moremi and this option is only recommended for seasoned travellers with comprehensive off road driving experience.

Airstrip co-ordinates:

Xakanaxa airstrip: 19.21S 23.27E. The dirt airstrip is 800 metres long and its condition varies. Twin-engined aircraft are not allowed to land at Xakanaxa without permission from the DCA. Maximum weight: 2 300 kg. Maximum aircraft size recommended: Cessna 206. Please check with your travel agent regarding luggage restrictions.
