Luxury Suite

Seven carefully positioned luxury tents are perched on raised wooden platforms offering uninterrupted panoramic views of the surrounding Royal Delta Lagoon. Each Luxury Suite boasts a private plunge pool which is the perfect excuse for a sundowner or night cap, whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of nature at its best. The fireplace creates a warm relaxing ambiance for romantic evenings and long cosy nights. The bathrooms are all full en-suite and include his and hers basins, a shower and a bath tub of indulgent proportions.

Family Suite

Our family suite is located in close proximity to the main areas of the lodge and boasts 2 bedrooms, each en-suite, separated by a lounge area which overlooks a private plunge pool. The design and layout of this suite ensures social areas flow seamlessly whilst retaining privacy when desired.

Honeymoon Suite

Each Honeymoon Suite has a huge bed surrounded by walk-in mosquito netting, wood fired hot tub, giant round bath, unique romantic turndowns and a carefully selected blend of textures and colours to embrace the spirit of romance. Located so as to create a feeling of seclusion and intimacy, these suites have been designed to offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding environment while still maintaining individual privacy.

Discovery Tent

Inspired by the Cabinets of curiosities or Wunderkammer of the Victorian era, the Discovery Room is filled with a collection fauna, flora and other interesting objects from the indigenous surrounds. This unique room offers guests the opportunity to learn more about the Okavango Delta and local wildlife, either on their own or with the assistance of our guides. The key feature of the Discovery Room is the 3D map of the lodge which allows guests to gain a better understanding of the layout of the lodge and expansiveness of the Delta.

Explorer's Tent

Reminiscent of a bygone era, the Explorers Room captures the spirit of the early explorers with a Livingstone-style tent lavishly furnished with authentic antiques, a wrought iron bed, travel trunks and all the essential equipment for a 19th century African expedition. Here guests can be transported back in time to the age of Thomas Baines and experience the Okavango Delta from the perspective of an intrepid traveller.

Game Drives

During your game drives, our experienced game rangers will share their knowledge and love of the African bush with you. Early morning games drives present the best chance to see animals moving around before the heat of the day drives them to shade. We also offer our guests a game drive at night allowing guests the opportunity to see a wide variety of nocturnal animals not usually encountered during the day.

Boat Safaris

Viewing game from the water on a Boat Safari is a unique experience that provides a different perspective to wildlife behaviour. The boats allow guests to explore areas that would not normally be accessible on a game drive vehicle, and allows close encounters with animals drinking, wading or swimming without disturbing them.

Horse Back Safaris

A horseback safari is an intimate and truly unique experience that offers experienced riders the opportunity to see abundant game and birdlife off the beaten track. The Royal Delta Lodge ensures an unrivalled African experience by offering knowledgeable guides who will share their knowledge of the Okavango Delta.

Photographic Safaris

The Okavango Delta offers beautiful and abundant photographic experiences and the opportunity to capture some truly breath-taking, inspiring and evocative images. With exciting photo subjects at every turn including wildlife, nature, landscape and cultural photography, a Photographic Safari affords guests the opportunity to hone their skills while photographing an ever-changing tableau of wildlife. The Okavango Delta is one of the seven natural wonders of Africa, and is listed on the UNESCO world heritage list in 2014. As a huge expanse of the Okavango is not accessible by road and the region is mostly consisting of vast flood plains.
